Vermentino di Sardegna ‘Donnikalia’
Tasting notes
Winemaker’s notes: Straw-yellow color with green tinges. Flowery scent of almond blossoms. On the palate it is dry and fresh. A lively taste and a pleasing fruity aroma.
Food pairing: As an aperitif, with seafood starters, soups, or fish and white meat.
Additional information
Vermentino is a late-ripening grape whose origins are claimed to be Italian, and it is widely planted in Sardinia where it makes the island’s aromatic signature white. In its youth, this variety produces fresh and lively wines with a slight prickle of gas. It can age a few years, getting a bit heavier with the passage of time.
