Herdade do Perdigão Reserva

Herdade do Perdigão Reserva bottle

Tasting notes

Winemaker’s notes: Deep golden color. Intense aromas of tropical and citrus fruits, with mineral hints and gentle toast and spiciness. On the palate it is well structured, unctuous but at the same time fresh, with an elegant and lingering aftertaste.
Food pairing: Bacalhau confitado (Cod fish prepared in a typical Alentejo style), coriander risotto, baked turbot, or poultry.

Additional information

Aging 6 months in new French oak barrels with regular bâtonnage. During this period the barrels are kept in a cold cellar at 6℃.
The Antão Vaz grape is native to Alentejo where it is almost exclusively grown. It is one of the region’s most prized white varieties, suited to the warm and sunny climate and consistently producing firm, full-bodied and well-structured wines. That is also why it is such a good candidate for barrel maturation.
The Herdade Perdigão Reserva is no different - to be enjoyed on special gastronomic occasions - a white Burgundy from Portugal.
