Añacal
Tasting notes
Winemaker’s notes: Chilli red color with bluish tones. An aroma dominated by red fruits and jam, offering beautiful candied undertones. Supple, smooth taste, with a pleasantly fresh acidity.
Additional information
The Bobal grape is autochthonous specifically to the Utiel-Requena region within Valencia. It is actually the third most planted vine in Spain, behind Airén and Tempranillo respectively, and its produce tends to be fruitier, lighter (i.e. lower in alcohol) and with a higher acidity (freshness). The same goes for this young Añacal wine, which on purpose is bottled early - as opposed to prior oak aging - in order to preserve the natural character of the Bobal variety.
Food pairing: Perfect on its own or with light dishes and tapas.
